Not the longest update this, but the cover for Martian Manhunter #2 was released yesterday via the July DC Comics solicits and it looks awesome and I wanted to show it off. Because J’onn J’onzz and Superman.
That’s Eddy Barrows, Eber Ferriera & Gabe Alteab there, doing amazing things. And the interiors look just as good as that, as you’ll see.
Here’s the July solicit:
MARTIAN MANHUNTER #2
Written by ROB WILLIAMS
Art and cover by EDDY BARROWS and EBER FERREIRA
1:25 Variant cover by ERIC CANETE
On sale JULY 15 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US • RATED T+
It’s the Man of Steel versus the Martian Manhunter as Superman demands to know what J’onn J’onnz knew about the Martians’ terrible plans for Earth.
Interiors of our 8 page preview story shouldbe online any time. Will post when I have more to show.
What else is going on? Dredd: Enceladus is continuing in 2000AD. Stuff like this happening:
That’ll sting a bit.
And the US mini-series of THE GRIEVOUS JOURNEY OF ICHABOD AZRAEL is in the shops too. #2 came out last week, I think. Here’s Dom Reardon’s cover, which I love. A western with B29s is a western I’d buy. But maybe that’s just me.
And DOCTOR WHO: THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR #12 & #13 is the next storyline in our continuing series. It’s a two-parter by myself and Warren Pleece with Berlin-era Bowie, the Roman civil war between Constantine and Maxienus and… a mystery classic Who guest star(s) too. You’ll have to buy it to find out who.
