A week earlier than planned, but regardless, ORDINARY #1, the new creator-owned mini-series by myself and D’israeli, is out in US shops now. Featuring loveliness like this:
Also, a talking bear. Called Brian. Everyone loves a talking bear, right? Especially one that drinks Guinness.
The UK and Comixology digital release is still set for next week – May 28th. Each issue is double-sized, effectively. 28 pages of interiors in #1, and that increases as we go.
Incidentally, D’israeli and I will be signing Ordinary at the Forbidden Planet store Bristol on the 28th at 5pm. Come along if you’re remotely near. Here’s the info:
What else is going on? issue #4 of THE ROYALS: MASTERS OF WAR was released last week. Myself and Si Coleby taking Prince Henry and Princess Rose off to Stalingrad in an attempt to rescue a low-tier German Royal who is willing to reveal the identity of the Nazi spy in return for his own safety. It’s a horror-tinged one, this, as you’d expect from the setting.
But there’s still moments of bright heroism. This is one of my favourite pages from the entire book. Stellar work by Si here, along with Gary Erskine on inks and JD Mettler on colours.
Here’s the Comixology link for THE ROYALS, should you buy digitally:
I’ll post more with Ordinary’s UK release next week, although worth pointing out the JUDGE DREDD: FALLOUT GN signing at London’s Orbital Comics on June 7th, with me, Laurence Campbell, Trev Hairsine and Ben Willshire.
